  1. A Letter From the Founder

If you know me personally, Pam Oh Herbs probably makes perfect sense to you. I am very particular. I want to know what I'm buying, what's in it, where it came from, why it's there and whether I actually need it. I read the fine print. I ask questions. And “everybody else is doing it” has never been enough to convince me of anything. So naturally, I built a company the same way. Pam Oh Herbs is very personal to me because I create the Collections. My knowledge, judgment and standards are involved in what ultimately reaches you. I take that seriously. But I also really enjoy it. I love herbs. I love learning about the body. I love figuring out what makes sense together. I love taking something useful and making the entire experience of receiving it beautiful. And yes, I want you to open your Collection and be a little ridiculous about it. Smell everything. Look at everything. Call somebody and show them the packaging. Then actually use it. Because as much as I care about how beautifully something arrives, pretty isn't enough for me. There should be substance behind it. That's probably the easiest way to understand the House. I like beautiful things. I like things that work. And I see absolutely no reason I should have to choose between the two. I also don't believe natural automatically means good for you. An herb can be natural and still be wrong for a person, wrong for a circumstance or simply unnecessary. That's why I care so much about knowing who I'm preparing for. Each Collection is made for you, with you. That isn't marketing language. It's how I work. Tell me what you like. Tell me what you hate. Tell me what you're trying to accomplish. Tell me what hasn't worked. Give me the information I need to make good decisions, and then allow me to do what I do. There will always be things I refuse to do, ingredients I won't use, claims I won't make and opportunities I'll walk away from. I'm okay with that. I've learned that knowing what not to do is just as valuable as knowing what to do. Pam Oh Herbs has my personality all through it. You're probably going to notice. It's particular. It's curious. It appreciates beautiful things. It asks a lot of questions. And it doesn't do something simply because everyone else does. If those things make sense to you, I have a feeling you're going to like it here. Welcome to the House. Pam Founder, Pam Oh Herbs
